Power has been restored to about 1,300 Electrical District No. 3 customers after an outage of less than an hour Thursday morning at the company’s Talla substation on Porter Road near Honeycutt, according to a company spokesman.

The power company reported the outage at 11:43 a.m., impacting the Desert Passage neighborhood as well as some Homestead and Glennwilde residents.

ED3 said power was lost due to an accident involving a telecommunications contractor.
