A serial drunk driver facing multiple DUI charges was caught on a resident’s dash cam last week after allegedly speeding past a state trooper, swerving through a Maricopa neighborhood and crashing into a parked car. 

Jeremy Heiner, who lives in the area, shared the footage with InMaricopa. Dated July 15, the video shows Arizona Department of Public Safety Trooper Z. Morgan pulling over Steven Lindor, 47, and captures the moment he handcuffs him against his Toyota Highlander. The trooper, riding a motorcycle, had chased him into the Tortosa neighborhood. 

According to DPS, Lindor had sped past the trooper on Honeycutt Road in a blue SUV. He allegedly continued driving without stopping, turning onto Costa Del Sol Boulevard in the Tortosa neighborhood, where he crashed. 

After reportedly failing field eye sobriety tests, Maricopa police arrested Lindor on four DUI charges, including two aggravated counts. He was suspected of having a blood alcohol concentration above .08. 

Lindor bonded out of jail Friday and was scheduled for an initial appearance in Pinal County Superior Court today on two felony charges of aggravated DUI. 

Maricopa County Superior Court is also seeking Lindor in connection with another DUI case. He failed to appear in court in November 2023, resulting in a bench warrant. He has another hearing set for Friday. 

Lindor’s criminal record includes a 2013 guilty plea to DUI and endangerment. In 2016, he was charged with four counts of aggravated DUI and resisting arrest. He later pleaded guilty to one count each of DUI and resisting.
