Are you headed to the Valley this weekend? Be aware of closures on several major highways.

The westbound I-10 ramp to eastbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) in Tempe will be closed from 10 p.m. tonight until 4 a.m. Monday for construction as a part of the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.

The westbound US 60 ramp to westbound I-10 will also be closed for construction from 10 p.m. tonight until 10 p.m. tomorrow. The HOV ramp will remain open. The westbound US 60 onramp at Rural Road and offramp at Priest Drive will be closed.

A bit further down the road, the section of westbound US 60 in Mesa between Greenfield Road and Mesa Drive will be closed from 9 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday for lane striping. Westbound onramps at Power and Higley Roads and at Superstition Springs Boulevard will also be closed. The state transportation department recommends drivers to use Loop 202 as a detour.

If you are returning to the Valley by plane, TSA and the taxiway may not be the only traffic you encounter. Eastbound I-10 between 32nd and 40th Streets near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will be narrowed to three lanes from 10 p.m. tonight until 4 a.m. Monday.

Is a lakeside afternoon on your day planner? Westbound Loop 303 between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway will be closed from 8 p.m. tonight until 6 p.m. tomorrow. Eastbound Loop 303 will be closed from 7 p.m. tomorrow until 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers can use State Route 74 as a detour.

Heading further north this weekend? Northbound I-17 will be closed between Thunderbird Road and Loop 101 from 9 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday. Northbound onramps at Dunlap and Peoria Avenues and at Cactus Road will also be closed. Both Loop 101 ramps will be open. The state transportation department recommends avoiding the closure by taking State Route 51 to Loop 101.
