Editor’s note: Maricopa Police Department originally named the suspect as Byran Barcell, but InMaricopa has confirmed his correct name is Byran Barcell Fedd. This story has been edited to correctly identify the suspect.
A man accused of threatening people at Wingstop with a gun was reportedly upset over being denied a refund, according to police.
Maricopa officers responded to the restaurant in the Edison Pointe shopping center on John Wayne Parkway just before 9:30 p.m. after receiving a report of threats, a department spokesperson said.
They found the suspect, 35-year-old Byran Barcell Fedd, across the street at Dignity Health Urgent Care and took him into custody. Reporters at the scene saw officers surrounding a convertible BMW, with Fedd in handcuffs on a bench outside the building. He was wearing a Dipper Pines hat from the Disney Channel children’s cartoon Gravity Falls.
“He was arrested without incident, and the firearm was recovered,” the spokesperson said.
Fedd was booked into Pinal County Jail on multiple felony charges.
