Acai bowl and smoothie-loving Maricopans soon can plan for a health-conscious snack destination on their daily route.
Nekter Juice Bar, a California-based smoothie and juice bar, will be among several new shops coming to Maricopa’s Edison Pointe shopping center. Rodolfo Lopez, the city’s development services director, said during a Feb. 9 planning meeting his office approved a tenant improvement permit for the restaurant.
Other businesses set to occupy the shopping center include Petco, Nando’s Mexican Café and GNC. Construction and opening dates have not been announced.
Nekter Juice Bar was founded in 2010 and has more than 160 restaurants across the U.S., including 35 in Arizona. The restaurant specializes in fresh juices, smoothies and health-oriented snacks.
