The Arizona Department of Public Safety has named the man accused of shooting another driver over an “obscene hand gesture” on State Route 347 at 3:47 a.m. yesterday morning.
State troopers who responded to calls of shots fired just south of Cement Plant Road said that Senita resident Randolph John Rose Jr., 41, had “shot his handgun through his passenger side window and struck the other driver in the hand while that driver was presenting an obscene hand gesture,” DPS spokesperson Bart Graves told InMaricopa.
Reporters on the scene at 4 a.m. saw three Maricopa Police Department units and three Gila River Police Department units stopped behind a white Dodge Ram truck that appeared to have a bullet hole in its passenger side window.
Rose Jr. was booked into the Pinal County jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, endangerment and drive-by shooting.
