Vitamins, supplements, protein drinks and powders — it’s heaven for health-conscious Maricopans.

Pittsburgh-based health and fitness superstore GNC welcomed its first patrons this morning at a new store on John Wayne Parkway and Edison Road.

This marks the first major storefront at Edison Pointe since Brakes Plus began swapping tires in May 2019. Nekter Juice Bar, Petco and Nando’s Mexican Café are also slated for fall openings.

The store is still hiring. A posting on GNC’s jobs page shows part-time sales associate positions are available.

The nutrition shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
