Topic – Mock Youth City Council Meeting

You are invited to the latest Councilmember on the Corner with Councilman Henry Wade on Saturday, May 19 at 9 to 10:30 a.m. at City Hall.

“In an effort to keep residents informed on the latest city news I am holding quarterly community meetings,” said Councilmember Henry Wade. “This is an opportunity for residents to learn about what is happening in the city as well as a chance for them to speak directly to me and our staff to ask questions and share input.”

The focus of the May Councilmember on the Corner is a Mock Youth Work Session and Council Meeting. Councilmember Wade will walk students through the process of a work session and a council meeting giving them the opportunity to learn first-hand how decisions impacting transportation, public safety and economic development are made in our community.

There are remaining opportunities for youth to play an active role in the meeting. If interested, youth between the ages of 9 and 18 should contact Councilmember Wade at [email protected], no later than Sunday, April 22, 2018.
