JWP, MCG drivers to face restrictions

Nighttime drivers on John Wayne Parkway and daytime drivers going to and from Casa Grande should be aware of these coming road restrictions.

Eastbound and westbound traffic on Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway between Antone Street and North Russell Road will be restricted starting Monday through Friday, May 3.

Flaggers will direct traffic as asphalt patching is done by the city’s public works department.

Tolleson-based Cactus Asphalt will work on northbound and southbound North Porter Road between West Honeycutt and West Bowlin Roads, which will be restricted from 7 p.m. Thursday through 4 a.m. Friday, May 3.

There will be “rolling lane closures while the contractor is applying a slurry seal and re-striping the roadway,” according to city spokesperson Monica Williams.

Restrictions will be in place on Maricopa’s main drag as Cactus Asphalt performs nightly work on North John Wayne Parkway between Maricopa Market Place/Maricopa Fiesta Drive and three quarters of a mile south of Sonoran Desert Parkway, from May 5 through May 10, and May 13 through May 17. The restrictions will be in place 7 p.m. through 4 a.m. nightly.
