Two people were injured in a crash on John Wayne Parkway this afternoon, leading to some temporary traffic delays into Maricopa.
A vehicle traveling southbound on John Wayne Parkway and Lakeview Drive rolled over several times at approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle hit the median but stayed in southbound lanes.
Two passengers received minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, said spokesperson Monica Williams.
The crash resulted in southbound traffic backing up to Casa Blance Road, according to AZ511.
Police cleared the roadway at approximately 1:55 p.m., according to Williams. In the meantime, travelers should anticipate some delays or find an alternative route.
