Maricopa police arrested three men at a bar after one reportedly brandished a gun, another was shot with a bean bag gun and the third started stripping.

Cops arrested 43-year-old Lawrence C. Valdez on counts of extreme DUI, threatening, misconduct involving a weapon and disorderly conduct displaying a firearm.

Albert R. Robinson, 43, was also arrested on counts of failure to comply and criminal nuisance. Demetrius Davis, 32, was arrested on an active warrant.

Officers responded to Headquarters Lounge, 19640 N. Maricopa Road, on a report of Valdez brandishing a firearm before leaving with Robinson and Davis in a white Cadillac.

Police found the Caddy and performed a “high-risk stop” on the three men near West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and North Main Street. Valdez was in the driver’s seat.

Valdez threatened to shoot the officer, according to the probable cause statement, but was arrested without incident.

Robinson refused to follow commands, the report stated. He continued to disobey officers until they fired and struck him with a less-lethal gun.

Robinson fell to the ground and tried to hide behind the Cadillac’s open door. He was eventually arrested.

Davis also refused to comply, according to the probable cause statement. He started taking his clothes off before being “detained with force.” Officers found he had a warrant for leaving the scene of an accident.

A handgun was found in the vehicle, according to public safety spokesperson Monica Williams.

A breath test showed Valdez had a blood alcohol concentration over 0.2, more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit. Police noted he had red and droopy eyes and smelled of alcohol.

Valdez, Robinson and Davis were all transported to the Pinal County jail.

Valdez is prohibited from possessing a firearm. He faces more than 11 years in prison and will not be eligible for probation or a suspended sentence until at least 45 days are served.

Robinson faces 10 months in prison, and Davis faces six months.
