According to Pinal County Environmental Services, 11 inspections were done from Nov. 27 to Dec. 19.

Certified food protection manager 

  • There were no employees present with a certified food manager certificate. 

Cleanliness and sanitation of food contact surfaces 

  • Heavy debris built up on the inside of the food prep sink basin. 

Proper hot holding temperatures 

  • Internal temperatures of hot dogs being held in warmer since 10 a.m. were 125 to 129°F. (135°F required) 

Cleanliness non-food contact surfaces 

  • Buildup of food debris on the interior side of french fry warmer hood.    

 

Wendy’s (Inspected Dec. 16) 

Proper reheating procedures for hot holding 

  • The internal temperatures of chili being held in front steam well were 64- 67°F. Water temperature was 65°F. Steam well was in “off” position. Per manager, the item was removed from cooler and placed in well about two hours prior. 

Cleanliness non-food contact surfaces 

  • Observed a build-up of debris on non-food contact surfaces of prep cooler, prep sinks, and counters around teas station. Maintain clean.    

Hot & cold water availability 

  • No cold water at front hand sink. (Re-inspection by Dec. 23 to verify correction.) 

Physical facilities remain installed, maintained and clean 

  • Build-up of debris on the floors throughout the facility. 
  • Metal wall at the fryer station is damaged with holes and rough edges.
