An old-fashioned, free ice cream social and an old-fashioned political whistle-stop – that’s what the Maricopa Area Republican Club has in store this weekend.
The event will be held at the Province Community Center from noon until 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 27. All Maricopa area residents are cordially invited to attend.
Special guests for the afternoon will be United States Senator Jon Kyl, right, and United States Congressional candidate Ron Drake. Candidates for various state and county offices who are expected to attend include the following:

Following their Maricopa visit, the majority of these candidates will be traveling to the Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort in Casa Grande to make personal appearances from 3-5 p.m. Secretary of State Jan Brewer, Attorney General candidate Bill Montgomery and Arizona Corporation Commission candidate Gary Pierce will also be in attendance.
