Sept. 30 is deadline for benefit craft fair space

Maricopa Rotary Club is sponsoring a craft fair to benefit the local F.O.R. (Food, Opportunity, Resources) food bank.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be held at Rotary Park.

Maricopans, their friends and relatives are invited to participate in the craft fair. The table cost is $25. Space is limited, and the deadline for reserving a table is Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Crafters are also being asked to donate an item as a raffle prize. All proceeds from table costs and the raffles will go directly to the food bank.

“Since this date is before Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, this should be very successful for crafters doing holiday decorations,” said Therese Starkey, fair organizer.

Anticipating a large turnout at the event, Starkey added, “Everyone loves that special gift made by a creative person or a unique decoration for the holidays.”
