Ak-Chin to open ‘first-class,’ 400-person meeting space in 2015

The Ak-Chin Indian Community is converting its vacant retail space adjacent to UltraStar Multi-tainment Center into meeting and event space. The project, part of the Ak-Chin Circle development, will be complete mid-2015.
 
“Originally the thought was turn it into a retail space, but the volume and traffic is just not there for it to be viable,” General Manager Adam Saks said. “We decided it would be perfect for a conference center to serve all of Pinal County, as the county is dying for more conference space.”
 
Saks said the only other current spaces that can accommodate large meetings in Pinal County are the ballroom at Harrah’s Ak-Chin and The Property Conference Center in Casa Grande.
