Ak-Chin, Harrah’s team up to give to F.O.R.

The Ak-Chin Indian Community and Caesars Foundation/Harrah’s have long recognized the need for a variety of social services programs, like F.O.R. Maricopa, on and near the reservation.

As such, the Community and Caesars Foundation have made a three-year financial commitment to the food bank.

Ak-Chin Indian Community Councilman Gabe Lopez and Robert Livingston, general manager of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort, earlier this month presented $50,000 to Wendy Webb, executive director of F.O.R. Maricopa, representing the first installment of a $300,000 donation.

More than 35 HERO volunteers, Harrah’s employee volunteer program, collected 644.50 pounds of food and volunteered at the food bank to distribute food boxes.
