Maricopa resident Avnel Hogan wants to cool you down.

Hogan, who graduated from the Refrigeration School, Inc., is the founder and owner of the Maricopa-based business, Alternative Air, Heating & Cooling.

He started his business in 2006 after working for a few companies in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. “When I graduated from school, I worked for a good company in Tucson that mirrored my good work ethic, honesty and integrity,” Hogan said.

However, once he left Tucson and migrated to Maricopa in 2004, he was unable to find a company with the same values.

“They didn’t have the customer’s best interest at heart, and only paid their employees based on commission,” Hogan said of the companies he worked for after moving to Maricopa.

Hogan feels that by opening his own company he can guarantee the people of Maricopa are receiving overall high quality service. “Since I am in charge, I am able to control the workmanship of the company and overall attitude,” Hogan explained.

He added that he hopes his company will continue to grow as the city grows. His company’s goal is to be the premier HVAC company for Maricopa and the surrounding area.

“We look forward to doing business with all in the community who have made this venture a reality,” Hogan said.
