The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) has finalized its appointments for the 2008 fiscal year, and City of Maricopa Mayor Kelly Anderson was selected.

“I am proud and honored to represent our city on GPEC’s Board of Directors.” said Anderson. “Sustainable economic growth is vital to Arizona and the City of Maricopa’s future and I look forward to working with the Board and GPEC’s staff to develop city programs, such as 90-day certified (fast-track) permitting, to keep us competitive in attracting the quality employers our residents need.”

“GPEC’s success would not be possible without the tremendous leadership of our Board of Directors,” said Barry Broome, GPEC president and CEO. “The Board is committed to helping GPEC strengthen our traction in international attraction, emerging technology, responsible development and competitiveness.”
