Pinal County Animal Care and Control found “forever homes” for puppies in their care during their adoption event Saturday morning in front of Maricopa Pet Club.

Animal control has hosted similar adoption events over the last few months, but due to high temperatures, the events were unsuccessful because the dogs were unable to be outside to interact with interested families. Today, however, Pinal County was able to have the dogs outside.

“We have two dogs left and we’ve had two already adopted,” Michelle Caruso of PCACC said. “We have a little pug mix, and we also have Grim. He’s an Australian shepherd mix.”

Earlier in the day, a rottweiler mix and a pug were adopted out. A family drove all the way in from Mesa to adopt the pug after seeing the puppy listed online.

“Next time I’ll have to bring a few more dogs,” Caruso said.

Pinal County Animal Care and Control hosts an adoption event on the third Saturday of each month in front of the Maricopa Pet Club. The next event will be Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. to noon.
