Attempted juvenile abduction

    200

Sunday at approximately 5 p.m. a male subject attempted to abduct two juvenile females, seven and nine years of age, at the community park within the Castlegate subdivision in Queen Creek.

The victims described their attacker as a white male, 5’8″, 180-190 pounds. Suspect was wearing a long sleeved black shirt and blue jeans with black tennis shoes. Suspect has short, dark brown to black hair that stands up on top and had black sunglasses that he was wearing on top of his head.

Victims described the suspect’s vehicle as an older model small truck with a toolbox, make unknown, either blue green in color or teal. The top of the vehicle had faded paint possibly rusted. Victims did not get a license plate.

Suspect approached the first female on the slide and asked her if she wanted to play, then grabbed her and told her not to scream. The victim started to scream, and the suspect let her go and went after the other female. Both females were able to get on their bicycles and started yelling for help. Neither victim was physically harmed. Suspect gave chase on foot but was scared away when another car entered the area. Suspect got in his vehicle and was last seen driving south on Tresta Way in Castlegate.

Deputies were on scene within minutes of the call but were unable to locate the suspect and his vehicle. Deputies searched all other community parks for the vehicle with no contact.
