Scouts, HOA team up to celebrate Fourth

Members of Boy Scout Troop 981 of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints put up 86 American flags at the entrance of Rancho El Dorado before 6:30 a.m. today in a first dawn-to-dusk collaboration with the homeowners association to honor flag-significant holidays such as the Fourth of July, 911 and Memorial Day.

Passers-by stopped to share their gratitude and stories of their own children and spouses who are serving, or have served, in the military with the 15 scouts and their leaders.
