Car wash service takes cleaning on the road

The 4-year-old Ford sits outside its owner’s work. Dust, dirt and other grime from the past six months has accumulated on the car’s exterior, making the sedan appear to be an abandoned jalopy.

The car’s owner has not had time to get the car washed in almost half a year, due to long hours at the office.

However, there is now a solution in sight for overworked or overoccupied car owners. Maricopa Auto Detail and Car Wash is a mobile car wash and detail company that comes to its clients.

The business, although new to Maricopa, was formed more than five years ago by Fernando Acuna.

“There are too many dirty cars out there whose owners don’t have the time to clean them,” he said.

Acuna and his wife bring their mobile car washing service to a person’s home, business or any other place that fits a client’s schedule of the prospective client.

“We try to be as convenient as possible,” he said.

The couple moved their business to Maricopa a few months ago because of a lack of car washes in the city and a large population of busy residents.

“There is a lot of need for this type of service in this city,” he said.
