Chairman Snider holding Maricopa office hours Tuesday

Pinal County Board of Supervisors Chairman David Snider will hold his monthly office hours in Maricopa on May 5 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The District 3 Supervisor will be at the Interim Maricopa City Hall located at 45145 West Madison Avenue.

“My thanks to the city leaders in Maricopa for generously offering a space where I can meet constituents in this area,” Chairman Snider said. “We have a good partnership that helps us bring Pinal County government closer to the people in this area.”

As for topics to discuss, the Board Chairman says there are plenty on the table.

“We recently celebrated the Pinal Regional Wi-Fi Partnership’s successful unrolling in Maricopa, which will help to bring high-speed broadband to Maricopa (see related story). It’s a project I am particularly excited about,” Snider said. “This will be a key component in helping to import more economic development opportunities to this area and other parts of the county. It is my firm belief that you shouldn’t have to work in an urban area just so you can conduct your business. This Wi-Fi partnership will help accomplish that goal.”

Chairman Snider also added that he is prepared to brief residents on the recent Pinal County Town Hall held in Casa Grande.

“The topic is pertinent to this county – the rise of gangs and crime in our streets,” the Chairman said. “There will be some great speakers and some terrific ideas offered on how to limit the lure of gang life for our young people.” (see related story)
