Investment representative Jake Romero from Edward Jones and entrepreneur Mark Molus of First Impressions Ink are the newest faces on the board. These freshmen, along with incumbent Vicki Pettes, will join returning members Courtny Tyler, Darrick Johnson, Janice Pratt and Veronica Reeves in the task of building a stronger Maricopa business community.

“I congratulate Mark and Jake on their selection,” said inmaricopa.com Publisher Scott Bartle. “I hope they can reverse the trend of the last three years and provide the forward-thinking leadership this organization desperately needs.”

Bartle was one of six candidates vying for a position on the board and remains a candidate for an alternate board member position that will be selected at the Chamber’s first board meeting in January.

Maricopa Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Terri Kingery addresses Chamber membership during board elections Thursday.

The election was close, according to the Chamber’s Executive Director Terri Kingery, with 51 of 132 members voting.

Kingery would not provide the vote counts for each candidate, despite the common democratic practice; however, she said this direction came from officials at City Hall and members of the chamber’s board.
