Cinco de Mayo not big holiday for many

The majority of InMaricopa.com readers voting in a poll about Cinco de Mayo indicated it’s not a holiday they celebrate.

Sixty-one percent, or 150 voters, said they had no plans for Cinco de Mayo.

Ten percent, or 25 people, said drinking margaritas would be part of their celebration; 26 (11 percent) said they plan on attending Saturday’s Our Lady of Grace Festival; and seven (3 percent) said they would be attending the Rotary Club’s event at the Headquarters.

Thirty-six voters, or 15 percent of the people responding to the poll, said they would celebrate the holiday in some other fashion.
