The City of Maricopa’s City Hall is moving. The new, interim City Hall will be located on Garvey Avenue near the current Public Works building.

Currently City Hall is set up in several different modulars that provide city staff with about 7,500 square feet of working space. The new set up, which consists of 24 modulars totaling 20,000 square feet, will almost triple the current square footage and will allow everyone to be in the same complex.

Bob Jackson, City of Maricopa Public Works Director, said about the interim City Hall, “It will be nice to get everybody together. The new modulars will be connected, and we’ll be able to utilize space better.”

The new, interim City Hall will have around 20,000 square feet of working space, and the modulars will connect.

The new modulars are currently being put together. Next on the schedule will be a new parking lot and the installation of a water line. This entire process is expected to be finished between the middle of July and the middle of August. After City Hall officially moves, Jackson estimates that the new interim site will be used for around three years before a permanent structure is completed.
