Potter files application for recall petition

2982

Councilman Leon Potter filed an application Wednesday for a recall petition demanding the recall of fellow Councilman Bridger Kimball.

The application instructs the applicant to write in 200 words or fewer the reason for the request.

Potter wrote the following:

“The integrity of the office of city councilmember has been compromised by Bridger Kimball when he got behind the wheel while drunk on December 15, 2012, a grossly negligent act. Mr. Kimball pled guilty in February 2013 to lesser charges before the results of his blood alcohol (BAC) concentration were complete. His BAC was 0.285, a super extreme DUI. As citizens of the City of Maricopa, we hold elected officials to a higher standard. Therefore, the citizens of Maricopa demand a recall of Bridger Kimball.”
