Coworking spaces are considered among the fastest-growing workplace movements of the last decade, increasing by 700% in that time.

The trend is making its way to Maricopa Oct. 31.

New Dawn Complex on North Maricopa Road is a shared office and meeting space that offers short- or long-term use for a fee.

Ernest Amponsahowner and operator of Forsyte Group LLC, brought the business concept to town.

He said there’s a big need for it, and he knows that firsthand.

“I was looking for office space myself and I couldn’t get one,” said Amponsahwho’s lived and worked in Maricopa for 16 years.

He decided to create the space for other business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals needing space to meet and work. He’s also using some of the 2,300 square feet of space himself.

The coworking spaces are fully equipped for office work, he said.

Available is an executive office, a standard office, a shared office and a general area for up to 24 people to share.

There is also space for six in a conference room and a lounge for coffee and tea.

“Our goal is to provide a cost-effective and flexible professional work environment that can increase productivity and improve work-life balance,” New Dawn’s website states. “Additionally, our spaces present networking opportunities and encourage collaboration among guests and members.

New Dawn Complex gives people who work from home space to meet with clients and staff.  Space can be rented hourly, daily, and weekly.

Office hours will be 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The space will remain open during weekends and holidays.
