Dance school to expand

Desert Sun Performing Arts is making a move and doubling its size.

With two classrooms instead of one, the school now will be able to offer more classes for its core age group of 2 to 18 and classes for adults.

Owner Ceylan Gentilella said the school is moving from Suite 114 in the Maricopa Manor Business Center to Suite 107 in the same complex on North John Wayne Parkway.

“We are very excited about the new and larger space,” she said. “We will be able to offer more classes during prime time.”

She expects the new location to open in mid or late August.

Along with a bigger space, the school now will have professional sound equipment, sprung floors that absorb shock and cameras in the studios so parents sitting in the lobby can watch their children during class.
