Pizza wasn’t the only thing served Sunday night.
The Maricopa Police Department arrested a man after a disturbance in a local pizzeria. Cops say he caused a scene and sized up the staff.
A probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa detailed the incident.
Just before 2:30 p.m., Maricopa police responded to Brooklyn Boys Pizzeria & Restaurant on North John Wayne Parkway. They accused the suspect, 34-year-old Anthony P. Adams, of yelling and cussing at his mother and daughter. When the pizza makers asked him to scram, he reportedly became aggressive towards them.
According to statements from multiple witnesses, including Adams’ family members, Adams was extremely drunk.
Adams allegedly tried to fight multiple staff members before one of them tried to pin and restrain him. Adams was eventually pushed out of the eatery by a staff member and customer.
Staffers at the restaurant said they did not want to press charges against Adams, who was arrested and booked into Pinal County jail on two misdemeanor charges: domestic violence of disorderly conduct.
MPD said Adams is also under investigation for assault on a minor.
