Desert Sun Performing Arts is presenting its third annual recital on Saturday, June 13.

It promises to be “A Red Carpet Event,” including show-stopping performances from the studio’s two-year-old future Miss Americas to moms and dads performing Madonna’s “Vogue.”

The Desert Sun Performing Arts (DSPA) award-winning competition team will be featured in both lyrical and jazz dance routines, including performances of “Bounce With Me” and “Such Great Heights.” Ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, musical theater, Zumba and jazz funk are among the variety of dance styles that will be showcased.

“In my over 20 years of dance experience I have never been prouder to be part of a show. This recital promises to be enchanting and one our audience will remember for many years,” said tap teacher Julie Stanfill.

Over 700 audience members saw last year’s recital and more are expected this year. Both a matinee and an evening performance will be staged at Maricopa High School. Tickets are selling quickly so contact Desert Sun at 520-483-8915 to make reservations.
