Duderbugs closing its doors on Dec. 30

Maricopa-based business Duderbugs will be closing its doors for good Dec. 30.

The children’s re-sale clothing store, which has been in Maricopa for 16 months, has experienced a sharp decline in sales the past several months, according to the store’s owner Michelle Smith.

“It’s the most horrible time of the year,” she said.

To help move the remaining inventory, Smith is offering all merchandise at 50 percent off from now until the doors close.

Also starting on Tuesday, Dec. 23, she will be offering bags of clothes for $10 apiece, cash only.

Michelle and her family will not only close Duderbugs’ doors, but the family will also move to Ahwatukee to be closer to her husband Shawn’s job.
