Easter Egg dyeing “rubber band style”

38

Bring on the eggs! For a great family activity with a fun twist on egg dyeing, wrap your egg in rubber bands before you dye it.

Dip the egg in your colored dyes. After the egg dries remove the rubber band and see how beautiful your design looks!

Remember, you don’t have to use store bought dye! Make your own colors by using some simple recipes:

Pink
1 cup strained juice from canned beets
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
3 cups water

Purple
1 cup purple grape juice
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
3 cups water

Soak eggs in dye for 30 minutes.

Encourage your children to use paints and paintbrushes, markers, and stickers to decorate their eggs as well. Visit Disney’s Family Fun Web site for additional recipes and egg dyeing tips.
