ED3 to offer free energy-savings workshop

Electrical District No. 3 will host a free energy conservation workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the Maricopa Unified School District administrative office.

The workshop is limited to 40 participants (one per household) on a first-come first-served RSVP basis.

ED3 stated, “Even though ED3 has not raised its rates for the past four years, the summer cooling requirements will continue to cause high electric bills.

“ED3 would like to help people to reduce their utility costs.”

Saving energy by learning about your consumption is the focus of the workshop, which promises to teach participants to reduce their energy bills and save money. Everyone in attendance will receive a free, home-energy-savings starter kit.

The workshop will last around one hour and feature a PowerPoint presentation, “hands on” demonstration and question-and-answer session.
