Fire victims need help

Hidden Valley residents Yvonne and Dennis Zargoza are looking for a little help.

The couple was struck by tragedy Sunday when their home burned to the ground, destroying everything inside. No one was hurt in the fire, and the cause still has not been determined. However, the couple, who did not have any insurance on the home, lost all their possessions.

“Right now we are staying with my sister, but we really need a place to live,” Yvonne said. She and her husband lived alone, but four days each week Yvonne was the babysitter for her four grandchildren in the home.

“She (Yvonne’s daughter) works and needs a good sitter, so I just try and help her out,” Yvonne said.

According to Yvonne, although the children were not living in the home, about half of their clothes and toys were lost in the fire.

“Right now we need everything,” Yvonne said, trying to fight back tears “It is tough when you no longer have a place to call your own.”
