Maricopa firefighters fill their boots St. Patrick’s Day

Members of the Professional Firefighters of Maricopa Local 4561 are teaming up with O’Shays Irish pub on St. Patrick’s Day to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Firefighters will be at the door holding the famous “fill the boot” in their Yellow MDA shirt starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.

O’Shays will donate $1 of every entry fee to F.O.R. Maricoipa local food bank.

The International Association of Fire Fighters is the largest national sponsor of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. More than 297,000 members of the IAFF in the United States and Canada are pledged to saving lives, both as firefighters and paramedics and as the strongest campaigners for the worldwide research efforts of MDA to eradicate 40 neuromuscular diseases.
