The community’s food bank, F.O.R. (Food, Opportunity, Resources) Maricopa, is hosting its fourth-annual Grape Escapes wine tasting event at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
There will be wine, food, live music, a silent auction and a raffle that includes as a prize a special event with the mayor. Single tickets are $60 and tickets for a couple are $100.
The shelves at the food bank are nearly bare and donations are always accepted. F.O.R. Maricopa is located at 19235 Gunsmoke Road in the first double trailer on left.
Food is given out on Mondays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
