Freeze warning in Pinal County

844

The National Weather Service (NWS) office out of Phoenix has issued freeze warning for Pinal County and surrounding areas for tomorrow morning. This means temperatures will be at, or below, freezing (32 degrees) for several hours between the times of midnight and 9 a.m.

According to the advisory sent out by the Phoenix NWS, a cold low pressure front will settle over the region beginning today and through Saturday.

The Tucson NWS office issued a "hard freeze" (28 degrees or below) warning for southern Pinal County during that same time period.

During this time, residents should prepare to cover their outdoor piping, cover outdoor plants and bring in pets due to hypothermia concerns. Drivers should also travel with caution due to the possibility of ice on the roadways, especially when driving over bridges.
