Fry’s unveils apparel department

Fry’s Marketplace in Maricopa.at 20797 N. John Wayne Parkway road unveiled an apparel department Thursday that includes popular brands such as Wrangler, Sketchers, Fila, Jockey, Levi’s, Carhartt and others.

The department features sections for men, women, children and babies. Apparel options include athletic wear, shoes, jeans, casual and dressier items.

“Stop by your newly-remodeled Fry’s Marketplace and you’ll find everything you need to make your life a little easier,” said Fry’s President Steve McKinney said.

Customers are excited about the convenience of having a place to shop for clothes that’s close to home.

“I think it’s great. I am very impressed with the selection. It’s nice to not have to run into town for every little thing, I decided to come here to get my husband a shirt for Father’s Day,” said Merilee Thompson.

The apparel department will have two main seasons, spring/summer and fall/winter, and is currently full of summer clothing apparel for everyone in the family.

The open house celebration will include food sampling, entertainment for kids and more from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday.

“This will really benefit the community in many aspects, especially the children. I live out here, and all we had was Wal-Mart for apparel, and now we have a choice,” said Joan Speyer.
