Gary Zaimont to show Big paintings at MCE

On Wednesday, Maricopa local Gary Zaimont will be displaying his “Very Large Paintings” collection at Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The six paintings featured are oversized and incredibly detailed. They will be on display for the month of June.

“The size and scope of Gary’s work is almost overwhelming,” said Dan Beach, director of MCE. “It is awesome to contemplate a seven-foot reclining woman meditating, and we are excited to share them with the community.”

Zaimont has been a member of the Maricopa community since 2005. He is largely self-taught, and has been drawing and painting since he was a child. His artistic interest is ever expanding, however, and he added woodcutting and photography to his skill set as he grew older.
