Great American Barbeque vendor applications being accepted

In Maricopa the 4th of July means the city’s Great American Barbeque annual celebration at Pacana Park – and the food that goes along with it.

Monday the city’s Community Services Department began accepting vendor applications at City Hall. Both the Maricopa vendor (download here) and county Temporary Food Vendor (download here) applications must be submitted by June 5, 2009. The fee is $150, which includes the county’s fee of $25.

Submit your application early, as space is limited to 15 food vendors only.

This year’s Great American Barbeque, scheduled from 6 p.m. to approximately 9 p.m., will feature a spectacular fireworks display, the Global Water Zone, a Whiffle Ball Tournament and short films on the main screen. All Maricopa community members are invited to come out and enjoy a patriotic evening. The event promises to be fun for the entire family.
