H&N Landscape provides local landscaping service and plant nursery

The lowest prices and the highest quality of service, that is what H & N landscape wishes to provide for its customers.

H & N is a landscaping company, located in Maricopa, which provides all aspects of landscaping and yard design except pools and ponds.

They pride themselves on being able to offer lower prices for quality services to the citizens of Maricopa because they do not have to factor the cost of gas into their prices.

“Many other landscaping companies have to pay their employees to drive to and from Maricopa in addition to the cost of the work. Since we are located in the city, we do not have to do this,” said Tim Hassert, one of three H &N owners.

However, the company was not always located in Maricopa.

The company moved to the city from Chandler in October, Hassert said.

Hassert said the reason for this move was that the majority of the company’s business was in Maricopa, and it made more sense to be located close to where the work was.

“When the company moved, it equated to the purchase of 12 homes in the area,” Hassert said.

The company has 40 employees.

Most of the company’s business comes from five homeowners associations, whose landscaping they handle.

“By these HOAs deciding to use us for their landscaping, we were able to save them 20 percent off their old costs,” said Aaron Nelson, another owner of H & N.

One thing Nelson attributes the company’s success to is its ability to finance its customers.

“We are John Deere’s No. 1 credit issuer; we are able to get people financing at rates as low as 9.9 percent, or even offer them six months same as cash,” Nelson said.

In addition to the landscaping services, the company is on the verge of opening a nursery.

“We are in the initial stages of getting the nursery stocked, but if someone needs plants, they can come in on Wednesdays and look at what we have,” Hassert said.

The nursery should be complete and ready for full-time business by the end of the year.

Besides providing quality service at quality prices, H & N is active in the Maricopa community.

They donate their time and expertise to projects like maintaining Pacana Park, cleaning up abandoned homes and maintaining the Rotary Park.

“When people think of landscaping in Maricopa, we want them to think H &N,” Nelson said.
