On May 3, Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino rolled out the red carpet to celebrate team members who have been manning the casino for five to 25 years, and the 2023 Caesars Founders Award, recognizing team members’ achievements and contributions.

“We’ve built a culture that celebrates individual achievement,” Senior Vice President and General Manager Michael Kintner said. “Team members feel valued when they are appreciated and see their peers enjoying their time at work.”

This year’s awards paid homage to those who consistently delivered top-notch service to both Harrah’s Ak-Chin guests and their fellow team members, while exemplifying Caesars’ core values across three exciting categories –

  • Blaze the Trail: Christopher Jackson, Facilities Supervisor; Twila Andring, HR Generalist; Robert Rutter, Hotel Operations Manager
  • Together We Win: John-Michael Lopez, Assistant Casino Operations Manager; Brittney Ramirez, Senior Staff Accountant; Ray Lapinid, Bell Attendant
  • All In On Service: Toni Mayorga, Gift Shop/Wardrobe Manager; Grant Milanio, Accounting Manager; Mandi Jackson, Assistant Beverage Manager

Christopher Jackson, also known as Jax, took home the coveted regional Blaze the Trail Award.

Jax introduced 3D printing to the casino, opening possibilities for repairing, reusing or replacing items.

“Jax is a great asset to the facilities department and to our organization,” Kintner added. “He brings new ideas and is always motivated in finding new and innovative ways to improve what we do and how we serve our guests.”

Organizers also recognized team members who achieved significant milestones in their Harrah’s Ak-Chin careers over the past year, including five Team Members celebrating 25 years.

“The culture at Harrah’s Ak-Chin creates loyalty and longevity,” Kintner said. “Our annual event is one example of how we celebrate the milestones, achievements and efforts of our team members.”
