Home childcare provider appreciation events next week

United Way of Pinal County is helping organize the upcoming Friend, Family and Neighbors Caregivers Outreach Assistance Project, a home provider community appreciation and networking event.

Home providers who are unregulated or unlicensed and provide care for four for fewer children in their home for a minimum of five hours per week are encouraged to attend the event.

This will be an opportunity for individuals to network and find out more information about the project. Please share with any individuals who may be interested in attending one of the events to learn more about the project.

Maricopa Public Library will be the site of the Maricopa-Stanfield project event on Monday, Feb. 22, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  The library is located at 41600 W. Smith Enke Rd.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, the program will be at the Ak-Chin Child Development Center, 48251 W. Farrell Rd., from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Door prizes and refreshments will be available for all attendees.

First Things First (FTF) brings the program to home providers. Approved by Arizona voters, FTF works to ensure that the youngest children have access to quality early childhood experiences so they will start school healthy and ready to succeed. For more information, visit www.azftf.gov.
