High rent, no help from the city and a limited customer base are just a few of the reasons the owner of Maricopa business Just a Buck says caused him to decide to get out of town, despite making a profit.
“I have no doubt that Maricopa will end up being a good city and this store will be successful,” said Erik Peterson, who added that he is also selling his business because of family issues.
Peterson also said that local city officials have not taken any steps to be friendly to small businesses in the area, and he is not surprised so many of them are unsuccessful.
If anyone is interested in becoming a czar of the dollar world, they can purchase the keys to Peterson’s dollar kingdom for the price of $150,000.
