Maricopan helps women through networking events

Maricopa resident Karla Woods-Stephens is the founder of an events management business whose company’s signature Woman-to-Woman conferences have been held in Phoenix and in Oakland, Calif.

Woods-Stephens is president and CEO of Bona Fide Event Management, which she created in 2006.

Before starting her own company, she worked for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. for 10 years as a highly successful fundraiser and event marketer.

Woman-to-Woman is “an amazing gathering for women seeking revival, rejuvenation and refreshment in their lives through demonstration, guidance and assistance from seasoned professionals in their field,” she said.

This year’s event, the “Third Annual Woman-to-Woman Going Beyond Phoenix” will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 31 at the Radisson Hotel Phoenix-Chandler.
