KAZT Channel 13 returns to Orbitel lineup

Orbitel announced today the return of KAZT, Channel 13, to its basic cable TV lineup. The channel has been off the air since late February when the broadcaster lost its ability to transmit a signal to Maricopa.

The DTV transition was expected to create additional broadcast signal space for KAZT to deliver a reliable, permanent feed to Maricopa. The decision made by Congress to reschedule the DTV transition to June 12 delayed the plans by KAZT.

“Orbitel elected to not replace the channel in the lineup while we waited for the programming to return permanently” said Orbitel President Keith Kirkman. “Orbitel appreciates the patience of our customers. Our staff has been in constant contact with the team at KAZT. Both organizations have worked very hard to bring this channel back to our customers.”

KAZT is based in Prescott, Ariz. It offers popular syndicated programming like “M.A.S.H.,” “According to Jim,” “George Lopez” and “Frasier” along with original programming like the “Daily Buzz” and “AM AZ.”

KAZT announced recently that they have entered into an exclusive agreement with the University of Arizona Wildcat Network to carry all non-nationally televised home football and men’s basketball games.

Orbitel customers are encouraged to tune into Orbitel Channel 13 and enjoy this programming.
