Phoenix-based Western Retail Advisors says Someburros has purchased 1¼ acres at 42618 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway at the northwest corner of Stonegate Road, advancing plans for the Valley brand’s first Maricopa restaurant inside the Stonegate retail center anchored by The Home Depot and a future Starbucks.
The land acquisition was announced this afternoon.
Plans call for a 3,519-square-foot building with a main dining room, drive-thru and covered patio, with online ordering and third-party delivery. Alberto Caballero and Dave Uhles of Western Retail Advisors represented Someburros in the acquisition. Diversified Partners of Scottsdale represented the seller.
Founded in Tempe in 1986, Someburros says the Maricopa project, first announced in January, is part of a growth push that also includes locations underway in Surprise and Peoria. The company says these additions would bring its Arizona count to 20.

“We are a proud Arizona-based, family-owned company dedicated to providing a dining experience that feels like an extension of home,” owner Tim Vasquez said, noting the company’s focus on quality, affordability and community connection.
Cabellero said the WRA team evaluates sites for both real estate fundamentals and “opportunities to truly become part of the neighborhood” as Someburros expands.
A Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant proposed for the same Maricopa intersection faced discussion by city zoning commissioners last night.
