The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Bowlin Road is hosting its first annual Community Christmas Carol and Open House Friday.
Construction began approximately one year ago on the 24,400 square foot facility, the third and largest LDS church in Maricopa.
The church and stake center is located west of Hartman Road near the Tortosa community at 37280 W. Bowlin Rd.
Tours of the building will be provided during the Open House from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Choir, organ and piano performances will be presented from 6 – 8 p.m.
Free and open to the public, the event is focusing on bringing the Christmas spirit to Maricopa. Light refreshments will be served, and the LDS Church will distribute a free DVD as well as free literature on ‘strengthening your family’ to those interested.
