If going out on Halloween night with all the ghosts and goblins puts a bit of a scare in you, why not attend one of several local festivals designed to provide fun and food for you and your little trick or treaters in a safe, contained environment?

Pima Butte Elementary School’s Fall Festival is scheduled for this Friday, October 27. Everyone is welcome to enjoy family fun from 5 – 8 p.m. at the school on north Rancho El Dorado Parkway. Community of Hope Church will provide game booths with lots of prizes, so bring a bag to hold them all. Other entertainments include tricycle races, a cakewalk, souvenir photos, face painting, and, of course, there will be food and drink available. Bring your friends and neighbors. Discounted tickets are available at the school through October 27.

Children (and their parents) are invited to attend the 2nd Annual Safe Halloween at Fry’s Shopping Plaza on Tuesday, October 31, from 4 – 7 p.m. There will be games and candy for the little ones. A 6 p.m. costume contest at Fry’s Marketplace will feature prizes from local merchants.
